What a WOF checks
A Warrant of Fitness is New Zealand’s regular safety check for your vehicle, carried out to NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) standards. It covers things like:

How much is a WOF?

What happens if my car fails its WOF?
We’ll show you what didn’t pass and why, in plain language, and quote the repairs before doing anything. Nothing is fixed without your approval. If your car doesn’t pass, we’ll re-inspect it free within 28 days.
Can I get a WOF and a service in the same visit?

How do I know when my WOF is due?
The expiry date is on the WOF label on the inside of your windscreen. How often you need a WOF depends on how old your vehicle is and when it was first registered.
