Deane Auto Repairs (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can contact us about it.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, phone number and email address.
- Vehicle details: registration, make, model, year and odometer reading.
- Booking details: preferred date and time, and any notes you send us.
- Workshop records: service and inspection reports (including photos of your vehicle), quotes and invoices.
How we use it
- To respond to booking requests and confirm appointments.
- To carry out work on your vehicle and send you quotes, service reports and invoices.
- To keep a service history for your vehicle so we can advise you on future maintenance.
- To contact you about your vehicle, for example service or WOF reminders.
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
How we store it
Your information is stored on our secure workshop system and in a private backup in our own Google Drive account. Emails are sent from admin@deaneauto.co.nz. Links to your service reports and quotes are private and are not listed on search engines.
We only share information with others where needed to do the work you asked for (for example ordering parts) or where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below.
